Delta Center is the downtown Salt Lake City home of the Utah Mammoth and the NBA’s Utah Jazz. The arena is at 301 South Temple, and the Mammoth are scheduled to play 41 of their 42 Utah home games there in 2026-27. The remaining home date is the 2027 Winter Classic at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

The building opened in 1991 and hosted the Utah franchise’s first NHL regular-season game on October 8, 2024. It is being converted from a basketball-first arena into a permanent dual-sport venue with full ice views throughout the bowl.

Delta Center hockey capacity

Delta Center had 12,478 unobstructed hockey seats for the 2025-26 season, up from 11,131 in Utah’s inaugural season. That figure applies to 2025-26; a final 2026-27 capacity has not been announced.

Renovation work continues in stages. The upper north end is scheduled for reconstruction before the 2026-27 season, followed by the upper south end in 2027. The completed hockey layout is expected to have approximately 17,000 full-view seats. Check the current seating chart when buying tickets because sightlines and available sections can change while this work is underway.

Getting to Delta Center

Delta Center is at 301 South Temple in downtown Salt Lake City. UTA’s Blue and Green TRAX lines stop at Arena Station beside the venue. TRAX or fixed-route bus trips are free when both boarding and exiting within the downtown Free Fare Zone; trips that begin or end outside the zone require valid fare.

Salt Lake Central Station is also nearby for FrontRunner and other transit connections. Allow extra time around games because downtown construction and event traffic can affect the most direct walking and driving routes.

Parking and rideshare

There are more than 10,000 parking spaces within two blocks, including accessible spaces, but prices and availability vary by event. Most parking locations are cashless. Nearby options include The Gateway, Triad Center, Park Place and other downtown garages and lots.

A new parking structure at the southwest corner of the arena is scheduled to be complete before the 2026-27 season. The passenger drop-off and rideshare zone is on 300 West; postgame traffic can change pickup access, so follow event-day signs and instructions.

Bags, tickets and entry

Delta Center uses digital tickets. Bags and purses are generally prohibited. Medical and diaper bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches are allowed, as are clutches up to 4 by 6 by 2 inches. Medical and diaper bags must be X-rayed at Door 5.

Outside food and beverages are prohibited. Re-entry rules can vary by event, so confirm the Mammoth game information before leaving the building. The arena also offers a sensory room on the upper concourse and sensory bags through Guest Services.

What is changing at the arena?

The multi-year project is rebuilding end-zone seating, adding sideline gondolas, renovating suites, expanding clubs and restrooms, and updating concourses and concession areas. Work is scheduled around the NBA and NHL offseasons, so repeat visitors may notice different seating and circulation patterns from one season to the next.
